Celebration for ZH's 24th birthday

* Super duper backdated,I know but just want memories of that day to fill in the blog
Steamboat was his favourite food ,so I looked through Penang foodblog for some awesome review for his birthday dinner. CK Lam's http://www.what2seeonline.com/ was really helpful that I regret not utilizing it from day 1 of my Penang stay although as you can see in picture, the food has taken a toll on my size. I guess if I was a loyal reader of the foodblog , I would be twice the size I am in the picture below.

  The steamboat came in package of RM50,RM60, and RM70.And we picked the lowest package as there were only two of us. His friends and colleague treated him Japanese food days before ,thus we had the whole night for ourselves :) When just two plates of raw food was served, we couldn't believe how little it came out to be for RM50.
 Soup base cooked with charcoal was the main reason it tasted uber good.Plus, freshness of seafood was also another vital aspect to be taken care of.
And as we halfway praising the steamboat that outbeat ZH's mother's ( ZH is kinda picky about food and it is difficult to get him to praise some other steamboat), there was some kinda situation at the table beside us. Bits of old paint from the ceiling dropped onto the customers right below it and their food too.
We laughed at the condition of the shop. I actually thought the place was not romantic enough for a birthday dinner but when I question him which kinda steamboat he wants, he opted for the traditional Teo chew type. Old paint pieces dropping off in the middle of nowhere kinda reflects how old the shop is. The review states that this it has been there for more than 50 years.
However,it was worth the drive and starvation as the steamboat is the best we ever had.
   The rain after dinner was indeed a spoiler. I have planned for us to go to Sunset Bistro for a drink by the seaside.Uber chillaxing feel , a spot away from the hustle bustle of Penang city,and a good dating spot to have a night stroll under the moonlight . I was even dressed in floral to fit in the holiday mood but....
However, due to the rain, we had to stay in :( So,starbucks was our plan Z as other places was flocked with people of ruined plan like us.( It was a Friday night )
 
I had Java chip this time. I have always wanted to try a coffee based blended as I have headaches sometimes when I consume coffee.I thought that it was okay to give it another try on this very special day but,this attempt caused me to end up with a sleepless night and severe headache I dunno why ,but I can't seem to blend in with coffee like all the coffee addicts around.Perhaps,it is due to my love for chocolate :D

And it was surprise time.He was about to sleep when he realised those pillows I hid beneath the comforters.When he saw them , I swear I saw tears rolling in his eyes.Exaggerating, I know.Maybe just a lil but,he's contented like that.That is not the ZH that I would see normally. It was worth all the effort: )
