The whole last week,I was all occupied with ZH's birthday celebration.Where to go,what to do and all those small details.As we did not celebrate it together last year due to LDR,I wanna make it as perfect as it could be this time.I ran out of ideas on things that I could get him for his birthday as his current love is on Iphone 3Gs which he had ordered and will come in by the end of the month. There is nothing else which interests him more than that for now.Thus,the DIY plan kicked in.I guess I sell better in terms of effort than monetary wise.Plus,I have already told him that I am getting him the nice leather Iphone casing for the birthday so,he isn't expecting the lil twist of surprise.

This surprise gift is a repetitive idea as handmade pillow case was also his birthday pressie two years back. Not so creative I know but naming it an enhanced version would I guess make it sounded better.It was a single pillow then upgraded to a couple version with my improved sewing skills.To me,these are nice gifts as it represents warmth and love at one go :)
 Ready with the basic stuffs - wool in colour of my liking,needle specially to sew wool and a plain pillow cover set.
 Working on the first pillowcase.I could only work at nights when ZH is asleep.Burnt quite a few days of midnight oil just to get them done.
  I even challenged myself to include something other than words. Those are my first attempt and fortunately, they turned out okay.
The above is my reference found online and the bottom is a modified Kelmynn's version, the result of several sleepless nights.The surprise went on well and guess I will blog on it in the next entry. Dinner time for now :D
